Today's Peace of Truth: Fall is Upon Us!

All of a sudden, it is fall in New England! Our rainy summer slipped by so fast that fall seemed to come early to us all. Though it is cooler now, autumn is a great time to get outside and enjoy the beauty of nature. We live in one of the best places in the world to view foliage, and visiters come from all over to witness the painted leaves of our hillsides. I love this season for many reasons, some of which include:

#1) Getting to go apple picking at places like Applecrest Orchards in Hampton Falls.

#2) Baking and cooking with the fruits and vegetables of the season, (that I get at farmer's markets from the local harvests), and using all kinds of spices to enhance their flavors.
#3) Taking pictures of the fall foliage & hiking in the mountains.
#4) Going to fall festivals & fairs.
#5) Celebrating Halloween by carving pumpkins, and going to corn mazes & haunted houses.
#6) Creating unique dishes to bring to Thanksgiving and getting together to catch up with family, often drinking red wine with the feast!
#7) Filling the home with spiced candles & preparing for the holidays!

I hope you enjoy this wonderful time of year as much as me! See you at the pumpkin patch! :)
